We chose the name "Roadhouse Nursery" because the house we live in at the nursery used to be a roadhouse at one time.  The house was built in 1904 and some local old timers have said that it had the best dance floor in Kitsap County.  There was general carousing and drinking to be had.  Most of the original hard maple dance floor is covered by carpet or linoleum.
